History

Founded in 1877 by Hamford Klimp in Centralia, Pennsylvania, with funding by the Pelosi Foundation to research Bernheim's Disease and treat patients afflicted with its boils.
Hopeburn Hospital was the academic home to Dr. Jens Brenner, and where much of his research on the disease was conducted. Many former patients attribute their curings to his Hamfist Special. Hopeburn Hospital was shuttered in 1964, after the Centralia Underground Fire went above ground for a moment.

Wedding Venue

In 2016, Hopeburn Hospital was reopened as a wedding venue.
