Mr. Numbers

Mr. Numbers, a purportedly psychic cat owned by a woman living in Slough (England), made a series of predictions using a system of eating food from bowls labeled either YES or NO in response to queries regarding past, future, or current events. Below is a list of predictions made by the cat when posed questions by his sixty-one year old owner, Cynthia Ludgate. Mr Numbers received local, and later international, attention when his owner uploaded a video of her experiment to her Facebook account on the afternoon of June 16th, 2019. Mrs. Ludgate uploaded the video thirteen times, seemingly by mistake, before it was picked up and shared by a local news station. Since then, Mr Numbers has been the focus of much scrutiny, with some claiming his precognitive abilities and heightened intelligence are the result of a hoax. Others, particularly religious groups, have adopted Mr Numbers as the symbol of the impending apocalypse, or end times. The experiment has not been replicated to date as Mrs. Ludgate has since moved from her Slough home and denied or ignored all known attempts to further the study of her pet.
