An example of a high-class Mölske Menswear advertisement, featuring a high-class and attractive masculine male model

Founded in 1860 by Wulbrand Mölske in Leipsig, Germany, Mölske is commonly associated with high quality, hand-stitched jackets and other apparel, but has a higher cultural connotation with consistently hiring the most attractive male models to demonstrate their wares.

Origin

Wulbrand Mölske founded the company to appeal to his personal values. On the day of the company's founding (June 17th, 1860), Mölske is quoted as saying "And now, I, Mölske, have overtaken all others as the pre-eminent manufacturer of high class apparel goods. Byebye Brooks Brothers. Later, Louis Vuitton. Have a good one, Hermès. And to prove it I shall acquire the highest caliber of male models this globe has to offer. The masculine and the beautiful will fall in with me, and together we shall continue climbing onwards and upwards through the world of high class apparel goods." In the first two decades of the company's existence, they mostly exported goods to the United States. The rugged, high class, masculine quality of the apparel appealed to the Ivy League circles in the Western Hemisphere. While domestic sales were steady, it was these international markets that drove Mölske to the top.

Modern Day

Today, the Mölske legacy of attractive masculinity continues. Their full list of clothing lines are:
